Remembrance Parks Central Victoria
Memorialisation
A memorial is a symbolic place shared with family, friends and future generations. Our remembrance parks offer a range of tranquil memorial options providing a place for personal reflection and commemoration.
The manner in which a person is memorialised is of profound significance. If you are selecting a memorial site for a loved one, your choice can reflect the life they lived, and how you remember them. This way, the emotional legacy of your loved one is sustained for generations to come.
If you are considering your own final wishes, choosing your memorial place ahead of time provides comfort in knowing the location will uniquely reflect you and your life. It is also a thoughtful way of providing a focal point for family and loved ones to gather and share precious memories in the years to come.
Plaques
Plaques can be used to memorialise a burial site or ashes. Cast bronze memorial plaques are a lasting and highly personalised way to commemorate your loved one. Available in a range of sizes, styles, and finishes, they incorporate your chosen wording along with emblems or design elements that represent something meaningful for the family and for future generations.
Bronze plaques are most often placed at cremation memorials, lawn graves, mausoleum crypts, memorial seats, or in areas where cremated remains have been scattered. Some of our sites have limitations on sizes but not all. One of our Customer Care Consultants will be able to guide you through the options depending on the cemetery you have chosen.
Plaques can also be placed as memorials to provide a special place for families whose loved ones were buried elsewhere, or whose ashes were scattered elsewhere, providing a place to visit and reflect.
A range of granite and concrete ‘desks’ are also available for mounting plaques.

Memorialisation of Ashes
Garden Memorial
A variety of garden memorials are offered across our cemeteries, including native bushland settings, independent companion gardens, formal native memorials and water features. Often in natural settings, these gardens create space for quiet reflection.
Rose Memorial
Roses signify the circle of life. Our beautifully maintained rose beds are flooded with blooms of colour in the spring and summer. Rose Memorials are available as individual, companion and family positions; standard, bush and weeping roses are offered in a wide variety of colours and species. A Rose Memorial can be established with or without ashes interred at the base of the rose and commemorated with a memorial plaque of your design.
Rock Memorial
Positioned within our gardens, rocks and boulders create a focal point and give structure to our landscapes. Ashes are interred at the foot of the rock or rock formation.
Niche Wall
Set amongst our beautifully maintained gardens, our Niche Walls offer an elevated niche position to inter ashes, sealed with a memorial plaque. Our Niche Walls vary depending on the park or cemetery selected. Single and companion niches offer a practical, affordable memorial. Memorial Walls are also available for families wishing to create an everlasting memorial without the presence of ashes. Placing a plaque on a Memorial Wall creates a legacy for future generations, commemorating any person regardless of their final resting place.
Tree Memorial
A Tree Memorial offers a timeless tribute where families can gather and reflect. As the tree grows, so does the enduring legacy of those who are remembered.
Granite Pods
Granite pod memorials are an attractive option to house ashes and place a plaque in remembrance of a loved one. These modern memorials provide a lasting tribute to honour and preserve the memories of your loved one.
How to order a Memorial Plaque
Plaques are usually arranged after the burial or the interment of ashes (cremated remains) once the family is ready to take the next steps.

Preparing for your Appointment
Talk to family and friends
Before attending your appointment, talk to your family and friends about what kind of wording and design might best honour the life of your loved one. Not everyone will always agree but starting these conversations can help you decide what you would like to do.
Do some research
There is no greater archive of bronze memorial plaques than at your local cemetery. Visit a cemetery, particularly an area set aside for bronze memorial plaques, and have a look at the different styles and inscriptions available.
Some people like to record the name, date of birth, date of death, and a small dedication. Others like to include a meaningful quote, a cameo photo, or even the emblem of a football club. This is a very personal decision, and there are many options available.
Decide on your wording
Once you have talked to your family and friends and done some research, it can be a useful exercise to write down some draft wording. We are here to provide guidance, and we always check spelling and grammar for you, but it can be very rewarding to have something written down by the time of your appointment.
Ask questions
Please ask as many questions as you like at your appointment.
There are many, many options available for your bronze plaque and if you have something special in mind, it cannot hurt to ask. Please be aware that the use of some emblems, for example Australian Defence Force emblems or trademarked logos, may require special permissions.
Provide a translation (if applicable)
If your chosen inscription is in a language other than English, please make sure you bring along an English translation to your appointment so we can make sure we get the wording just right.
